For my introductory Information Technology class at the lower division, I collaborated on a video documentary project with a group of four. Our group created a brief (5 minute) video concerning a particular new media and a specific social scenario. Our team selected QR codes.
We started by drafting a script for our comprehensive approach, focusing on these four elements: 1) what is the technology, how is it operated, and what preceded it (its history)? (for instance, conduct online research) 2) who utilizes it, for what purposes, and why? (for example, experiment with it personally, understand its applications) 3) what opinions do experts hold regarding this service/technology? (look for research papers about it or a related technological concern) 4) how do users perceive it? (consider conducting some interviews, perhaps?) We conducted video interviews and examined the videos and images featured in our documentary.
We performed exceptionally well on the Video Documentary.
